Guys Read Club
Guys Read is a new program at Boyertown Community Library. We are joining
libraries around the country in an effort to bring boys to books in a way that will be fun and interesting for even the most
reluctant readers!
Research shows that boys are having trouble reading, and that boys are getting worse at reading. No one is quite sure why.
Some of the reasons are biological. Some of the reasons are sociological. But the good news is that research also shows
that boys will read — if they are given reading that interests them.” (Scieszka)
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Troy Bodolus, an administrator in the Allentown School District to lead the Guys Read
Club. This club will include boys ages 5-9. Dads are welcome to join in. Each month there will be a different guy friendly
theme. Sign up will be required due to space limitations. For more information contact the library at 610-369-0496.

Virtual Tours
A new addition to the web site is VIRTUAL TOURS. These are a group of Virtual Tours found on the web which can be of
both entertainment and educational value. Be sure to read any preliminary information provided regarding a tour to ensure it is
appropriate for the person accessing the site.
