Do you like listening to audiobooks? Playaways are self contained audio books which do not require any additional player. Ultra convenient and portable. Many great titles. You may use your own earbuds or headphones, or earbuds may be purchased from the library for a nominal fee. Playaways circulate for 3 weeks just like books-on-tape, and books-on-CD. Click here for a more detailed description.Library Cards and Borrowing
Library cards may be issued to any Berks County resident upon presentation of identification. For those under 18, parental signature is required. A barcoded card is accepted at every automated library location. The Access Pennsylvania sticker allows borrowing at many other public libraries throughout the Commonwealth.
