Who are the Friends?
Friends' groups traditionally are self-run organizations established to supplement the buying of materials and equipment, the holding of activities, and the creation of outreach programs for a specific library.
The Friends of the Sinking Spring Public Library is a group of citizens who value the services of the Sinking Spring Public Library and volunteer to promote those services. The Friends operate independently of, but in close cooperation with, the library staff and board, working for the growth of library services, and generating funds for the materials, activities and outreach.
Join the Friends
Join others in your community and become a member of Friends. There are currently more than 170 of your neighbors in this group. The Friends meet the first Monday of every month at the Sinking Spring Borough Building, 3940 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, at 7 p.m. Park in the back and enter through the Library. We need people from diverse backgrounds to contribute their experience, ideas and energy; to help us better increase awareness of the Library in the community; to help stimulate private support; and to encourage appreciation of the Library's resources.
