The Friends of the Exeter Community Library would like to welcome you to become a NEW FRIEND or to join the Friends again for this new year 2013. You can find a membership letter in the Friends Alcove off the lobby in the library or download a membership letter. Just mail it in or give it to a librarian at the main desk.
Friends Calendar For 2013
BIG BIG BIG Spring Book and Bake Sale- You need it We have it. Come on in to the Dunn Community Center on Tuesday, May 7th - 4 - 8 PM (Preview for Friends only) Thursday and Friday May 9th and 10th - 12 - 8 PM Saturday, May 11th - 9 AM - 1 PM (Bag of Books for $5) *The last day we will accept book donations: April 8, 2013. We will resume collecting book donations on Monday, June 3, 2013. Fall Book and Bake Sale- Tues. Oct. 15- Friends only- 4-8 Thurs. and Fri. Oct. 17 and 18th. 12-8 Sat. Oct. 19th 9-1 Bag of Books for $5 Sat. Oct 19th Chicken Bar-B Que-(times later) (Tickets to be sold ahead and that AM) Applebee's Fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 2nd. Fundraiser Breakfast at Exeter Applebee's Restaurant 8 to 10 (Tickets to be sold ahead or that morning) Special guest appearance by "Pig" from If You Give a Pig a Pancake! Holiday Wreath, Cookie, And Craft Sale Sat. Dec. 7, 9-4 and Sun. Dec 8th 1-3 Please look for any changes to our calendar events on the Friends Bulletin Board in the Friends Alcove off the lobby in the library. The Friends sponsor the one and only Magazine Exchange in the lobby of the library the first Saturday of every month from 10 to 12. Bring a few of your magazines in that day and take a few different ones home with you. Magazines should be 6 months or newer. The Friends take donations of books in good condition at the Dunn Barn on Monday mornings- 10 AM - 1 PM and on the first Wednesday night of every month from 6 - 8 PM. Please do not leave any donations at the library. There is no one to bring them down to the Dunn Barn. Thank you. The Friends sponsor a Cash for Causes card from the Giant Market. Each year we would like our membership to grow so that we can provide all these services and more in the future.
How to Become a Friend
We would like to encourage all our readers to join the Friends if they have not done so already. It is very easy and we would like you to help us in any way that you can. If you would like to join us just to show your support for the library, that is OK, too.
