1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Do you have a child that enjoys reading and listening to stories?

If you do, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a great program to start with your child. It’s simple. Just read a book to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precocious one starts kindergarten. Once each child has read a certain amount of books, the child will receive a coloring page and a sticker. To join the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, please come in to the Muhlenberg Community Library and register at the circulation desk. The best part is, it’s free!

New Free Driver's Permit Practice Tests Available!

Muhlenberg Community Library is announcing a partnership with Driving-Tests.org, a company dedicated to driver safety and education, to offer free DMV practice tests to library patrons. The new service includes free tests, written specifically based on the state DMV materials, and is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that allow users to hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask sections of the screen for greater visibility on driving practice tests.
