The Melissa Edwards Memorial 5K Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sat, Ap. 10. The Fun/Run will help offset the $23,000 reduction in State funding for Womelsdorf Community Library. The Run/Walk will begin at LJ’s Fitness at 10:00am. A light lunch will be served afterward. Registration Forms can be printed from this site or picked up at the library. Those who register by March 23rd will receive a free T-shirt. Return registrations to the library.

Capital Campaign Completed!

Thanks to all those who supported our Fundraisers and who made donations. We have raised approximately $242,000.00. We have been awarded a Keystone Grant in the amount of $239,823.00 as matching funds. We will be working on the renovation of the original bank building late this spring and summer. See additional information on the display board in the library.

Library Cards and Borrowing

Library cards may be issued to any Berks County resident upon presentation of identification. For those under 18, parental signature is required. A barcoded card is accepted at every county member library location. The Access Pennsylvania sticker allows borrowing at many other public libraries throughout the Commonwealth.

Information Services

Our library has staff trained to help you, the library patron, find the information you need. Staff answer questions in person or over the telephone, assisting students, researchers, the curious, do-it-yourselfers, and anyone else who needs information. 

Services to Children and their Families

Each library has a collection of books, magazines, and other items geared for children from babyhood on up. Activities for children include Summer Reading programs, pre-school story hours, and special events at holidays and throughout the year. Contact us for details.
